RYA Day Skipper Fastrack Training

Book Online before February 29th and save £50. From £635 for 9 days

Kipper Sailing specialises in teaching RYA Day Skipper by way of a Fastrack, 9 day, combined theory & practical Day Skipper course. Our students find this works much better than doing the theory course and then waiting before putting it into practice. It also saves you money and our class is limited to 5 students whereas most schools will put 12 or more onto a theory course.

The course runs Saturday morning, though the week and finishes the following Sunday, which means you only need take 5 days off work. See dates.

The first 4 days are spent in the classroom on picturesque Lymington Quay, where you learn the basics of navigation, meteorology and the rule of the road. Then it's off to sea for 5 days to put what you've learned in the classroom into practice plus all the practical skills necessary to skipper a sailing yacht by day including: preparation for sea; deck work; pilotage; engine checks; emergency situations; passage making; handling under & power.

Our training yacht "Kipper" is a beautiful, exceptionally well equipped, classic Victoria 34 Cutter. Your instructor will be a highly experienced, life-long sailor. Our base is Lymington on The Solent and our training waters are the south coast of England, from Weymouth in the west to Chichester Harbour in the east.
